Saturday Playlist

This week's playlist theme; covers.
Enjoy.

"Somebody That I Used to Know"- (Gotye Cover)
This rendition of "Somebody That I Used to Know" has gone viral lately and it only takes one listen to understand why. It's nice to see that real, raw talented is still appreciated even in this day and age when music seems to be edging closer and closer to becoming completely digitised.

"Pursuit of Hapiness"- Barbara (Kid Cudi cover)
I first heard this song in early January of last year and I remember hating it straight away. This version however, is actually rather soothing and dare I say listen-to-able.

"Crystalised"- Gorillaz (The xx cover)
In contrast to the previous song, I in fact quite like the original version of this song. I also love Gorillaz though so this song for me is the perfect mix.

"Tiny Dancer"- Myles (Elton John Cover)
This is my favourite song ever, and for this kid to do it justice certainly says something.

"Blackbird"- Gianni and Myles (Beatles cover)
Here's the kid Myles from the Tiny Dancer cover again with his uncle covering my favourite Beatles song. The bit of beat-boxing at the end is pretty slick and keeps this specific cover from being too samey to the original.

techNOlogy

I dropped my phone on the concrete floor of the Mechanical Engineering workshop today.
It wasn't too happy.

White Collar

I realise that this blog, like my last, is slowly spiraling further into that mushy abyss of fashion blogging by the day. Don't get me wrong, I love fashion blogging, especially outfit posts, but I also like ranting. Having found a place to vent in my college newspaper however I don't find much of a need to rant as much on my blog anymore and so it's become somewhat lacking in personality and flare so to speak. I've managed to keep semi-up-to-speed with my Saturday Playlists that break up the fashion orientated posts somewhat but I feel I need another structured, set day dedicated to something that isn't fashion, not so much for anyone who might read this as much as for myself and to hold myself back from becoming too self absorbed.
I haven't decided on a day yet, I'm thinking Sunday though, and the topic will most likely be something science/engineering/technology based. So watch this space for that to come!
As for now, another outfit post.

Saturday Playlist (on a Sunday)

I forgot yesterday was Saturday so here's my Saturday Playlist, on a Sunday!

This week; old school R 'n' B, just for fun really. These songs will bring you back.

"Angel"- Shaggy

"Perfect Gentleman"- Wyclef Jean

"Hey Sexy Lady"- Shaggy ft. Sean Paul

"Thong Song"- SisQo

"September"- Vitamin C and SisQo

If I did nothing wrong, I'd never do anything.

I don't really wear dresses when I go on nights out.  I much prefer something quirky if the occasion suits, and lots of oversized rings are essential.

leather shorts- Forever21
gold chain- American Apparel
rings- Topshop/Primark
