Girl, You'll be a woman soon...

Last Saturday I celebrated turning 21. I can't even begin to describe how great a night was had and how thankful I am to all who came and especially to my family, Dan and the girls I live with for helping out with all the organisation, and of course the clean up. I really couldn't ask for better mates and I couldn't have been happier to be turning 21 with all of ye with me.
Of course, in true Aoife style, my Mum got me a ridiculous cake made that was both ballerina and engineering themed. Possibly the most ridiculous yet best thing I've ever seen.

After lusting after this Kate Moss for Topshop dress for ages I just stumbled across it last month on eBay and thought it was perfect for my 21st. Also couldn't resist wearing my new JC litas my brothers got me for my birthday, had to keep with the large cat theme (also on my nails might I add).

The biggest surprise of the night however was the present from my Dad. I was born on Valentine's Day and the day I was born he had gone out to buy my mum a rose, but when I arrived, he instead gave it to me. My parents kept that rose and pressed it and it's been sitting in a display cabinet at home for the past 21 years. Since then, every year my dad has sent me a single rose on my birthday, except for this year. Little did I know however, that my mum had organised for my original rose to be sent to Holland to be electroplated, forever preserving it for the many years to hopefully come.

A big thank you to everyone who made my birthday so awesome.
Roll on next year!

NIGHT

shoes- Jeffrey Campbell Litas
leather trousers- NastyGal

So not only was last Tuesday Valentine's Day, but it was also the day I turned 21. I posted already about it I know but I thought I'd do another post about what I wore that day/night.
Dan and I went to Crackbird for lunch as I'd luckily gotten tweetseats which is an incredible offer they do where you tweet them and basically you get a free lunch out of it. I was amazed that there were no strings attached either. Also, even though they've moved location, their food is as good as ever you'll be glad to hear.
That night then, Dan brought me out for cocktails in Capitol on Aungier street and I got a chance to wear my new Jeffrey Campbells which pleased me greatly.

Dan also got me a 50mm lens for my camera  for my birthday that I have been obsessed with since I got so expect lots more rookie photographer photos in the pipeline.

Hope everyone had as  great a Valentine's as I did!
