So I've finally finished my internship and summer can begin. Having spent the past two months doing engineering, however much I do love it, it hasn't really felt like summer yet considering I started working the Monday after the Friday I finished my exams. After a great weekend surfing in Lahinch with a great bunch of people I however now feel like my summer has really begun!

Now I just have a million and one things to do before I head off to Central America next Monday. Cannot believe it's only a week away now. If anyone has any tips send them this way!
Now back to my feeble attempt of the beginnings of packing.

Not enough hours in the day!

Wisconsin; Smell Our Dairy Air

I'm back home out West for the weekend and didn't bring my camera so apologies for the dodgey iPhone photos, I hadn't done an outfit post in awhile though so I thought I'd make do.
I found this Black Milk dress that I'd only worn once in a suitcase in my room and couldn't resist wearing it. I doubt the west of Ireland is quite ready for a full body-con stain glass window lyrca dress however so I rooted through my brother's wardrobe (sorry man) til I found this awesome vintage sweater.
And yes, I am having it. Cheers bro.

Off to see Batman now, actually never been so excited!!!

"Never trust a woman who wears mauve..."

I'd had girly blonde hair for too long and needed a change. After wanting to go back to white blonde, my hairdresser (Dearan at Style Club on South William Street) who is my new hero suggested that it probably wasn't the smartest idea considering I'm going away for a month to the jungle where I probably won't have access to the best of hair care products. So, we compromised, and I could not be happier with the result. It's only toner so will fade to blonde but right now I'm seriously enjoying having lilac hair and will definitely be getting it done again when I come back from Central America.
You only live once ay?!

First and last photos taken by my friend Sandy- cheers bru

Sunset...Moonrise...and a fox.

The sky the other night in Dublin was amazing so I decided to actually bring my camera out and use it for what it is meant for for once and not just for my own vanity's sake!
By the time I got home the sun was almost set and I only caught the last few glimpses of it from my vantage point of standing on a chair in my back garden.
The night was so beautifully clear, and I took the rest of these photos down at Sandymount beach where I attempted, failing miserably, to take my first ever night photos; playing around with shutter speeds. My aim for the summer is to get to know at least something about photography and to learn how to use my camera.
Just booked a trip to Central America for August, so hopefully that will give me some new inspiration to photograph!

I also saw a fox!

Klaus

So I was trying to take boring old outfit photos in my room seeing as I hadn't blogged in ages when Klaus, the cat of the house I live in, kept coming in the door wanting to play. Now, I'm not usually a cat person, in fact, Klaus and I had a questionable beginning, but he is growing on me, not quite a dog, but an okay cat, I'll give it to him.
Anyways, it was a nice evening so I decided instead of being vain, I'd go outside with him and get some nice photos of him in the evening sun. I turned the camera on the two of us for awhile, but he wasn't too keen on that and just kept running away.
I know a lot of these photos are out of focus and that, but I like the effect it gave so I thought I'd put them up.

Excuse the absence from blogging, it's tough to get a chance to take photos when you work a 9-5, or simply "work" as a friend corrected me today when I was complaining about it as that's what the rest of the world does.

How right he was too.
