Chasing Ducks

If you haven't heard, Dublin has been having ridiculous weather of late, like, late 20 degrees ridiculous kinda weather. Due to this fact, I spent my Saturday lazing about in my local park with on of my housemates, chasing the ducks. The ducks hated me, but I nonetheless attempted to get as close as possible to them with my camera before they waddled away. I think I got away with this behavior due to the fact that I was dressed in dungarees and so looked like a child merely harassing the poor wildlife.

Today was just as sunny as Saturday, if not sunnier, but it was spent not outside basking in the rays, but instead indoors packing up my room to move out. I'll miss this house, especially my room. I doubt I'll ever have a room this nice again for a very long time!!! Only four more sleeps in this bed. It's a rather sad thought really. 

Back to work now tomorrow morning to research energy wastage in manufacturing processes. 

Who ever said the life of an engineer wasn't glamourous ay??!!

Apart from making me look pregnant in these photos, I really love these shorts. I'm not usually one for clean, crisp tailoring and minimalist outfits but that's just because it's not really my style. I however am starting to leave the darkside and the spikes and leather behind as it were and am opting for more pastels and neutral tones of late. I suppose summer will do that to you.

I haven't been posting much lately, mainly due tot he fact I'm just settling into my internship in the Mechanical Engineering department at my college. It's tough work, mainly research based, but I'm enjoying it thus far. It's mainly based around getting girls into the field of engineering which is something I have a huge interest in so it's great to actually be working on something I enjoy.

That's all really for now, sorry about the poor quality photos, was running out the door and attempted to salvage them but they're still rather bad. I'm thinking of taking a photography class over the summer to actually learn how to use my camera properly actually. Another day's work mind you.

Nearly there...

Tomorrow is our last exam. After six solid weeks of study, pretty much living in the library/our department, nine exams thus far and surviving on free noodles and coffee, we're nearly there.

Just have to get through Thermodynamics tomorrow and then I'm free...

...well, until I start my internship on Monday that is! 

No rest for the wicked as they say.

Went for a much needed family lunch on Saturday which was a glorious break from studying for these pesky exams. I've literally been living in the basement of my department like a cretin for the past two weeks with my head in the books. Was so relaxing to just stroll around Stephen's Green with Dan and then have a proper meal; the first I've had in a long time!

Seven exams down, three to go. 

Friday cannot come sooner.

Speaking of Dan, Happy Birthday dear! 23 Today! And congrats on finishing college too.

(He's gonna kill me for this!!!!!)

P.S. Has anyone else seen Brown Thomas window lately??? What is going on here?? It does not help with my phobia of rodents!
